During setup, you will be prompted to add Smart Speakers if you have them, but you can always do it later by going to ‘My Devices’ in the menu button with the three lines on the top right. On the next page, which says ‘Let’s link your sensors and devices’, select ‘Continue’ if you want to set them up right away.
You came here for easier caregiving, and that’s what you’re gonna get. Linking your Amazon Alexa or Echo smart speaker means you can Quil from just about anywhere in your home, no questions asked. Both Caregivers and Seniors can link Alexa!
Stay in the loop with your Care Circle, keep track of activity, and so much more. If your Senior has one in their home, give them a hand linking it, because hear this out: they can even use it to ask for help. With. Just. Their. Voice. What a time to be alive!
You’ll want to make sure you have the “Amazon Alexa” app setup and signed in on your phone first!
Then one simple step, on your 'Add Smart Speaker' screen, tap on ‘Link Alexa’.
The 'Quil Assure' app will then take you to your ‘Amazon Alexa’ app to confirm by pressing the “Link” button in that app.
Once you confirm in the “Amazon Alexa” app, you’ll pop right back to the Quil Assure app. You should now, see this screen.
Go ahead and take it for a spin!
Start by saying: “Alexa, tell Quil Assure I'm new!” and this will tell you what Quillin' is all about!
For our Caregivers, you can ask about your Senior using their in-app name! Here are a few things you can ask about:
“Alexa, ask Quil Assure how Mom is doing”
“Alexa, ask Quil Assure if Dad is home"
“Alexa, ask Quil Assure if Mum is awake”
For our Seniors, you can use your smart speaker to kick off any safety protocols or in case of an emergency – be careful to avoid false alarms on these ones! Here is an example of what you can ask Alexa:
“Alexa, tell Quil Assure I need help!”
