We can tell you’re a quick learner, so we feel you’re ready for the next step: connecting and installing your Motion Sensors. They’re in charge of tracking movement around the house and turning that into insights you’re going to love. Oh, and hear this out: no audio, no cameras, just top engineering. Do keep in mind that Motion Sensors work with body heat and movement, so take this into account when finding a spot for them: it is important to keep them away from sources of heat like heating vents, space heaters, fireplaces, or windows facing direct sunlight. Oh, and they love a good view, so place them where they can get some good sensin’.
For quick tips and helpful hints, here is The Plan. For all your technical information and mounting/installation instructions, please go to the Motion Sensor Manual.
Note: Hold up! No tab-pulling action just yet. The Hub will look for devices as soon as batteries are installed. So, only do that for each device at the time of connection. Do not pull all tabs on all devices at once. Actually, you know what, just follow these steps:
1. To begin, select 'Add More' on your Connected Devices screen and tap ‘Motion Sensors’ on the Add Devices screen.
2. Pull the battery tab out of the back. You will need to remove the magnetic "corner bracket" from the back to find the tab! The corner bracket is magnetically attached and should pull right off.
3. The app will begin to connect to the Motion Sensor. Give the app about 3-5 minutes to do all the work. If it starts taking too long, you can select the ‘Contact Us’ button for further troubleshooting. This will connect you to our Customer Care team, always on the ready to help.
4. Once we’re good to go, we’ll take you to the ‘You’re Connected!’ page. You will be prompted to name your Motion Sensor. Naming it after the location it is placed in is a really good idea. Then, select all areas visible to the device so we can make your insights as accurate as possible.
You can now install your Motion Sensor in its final location. Do this again for the second and third ones.

Congrats! Your Motion Sensors are up and runnin’.
You're ready to move on!
The next couple of steps are optional, but a pretty good idea if you have them. However, if you don’t have any of them, there’s plenty of Quillin’ left to do, so you can skip this section.
But if you do, you can link your Smart Speaker-like Alexa or Echo- and a Health App if your Senior has an activity tracker or smartwatch. If you’re a Caregiver, you can link to Alexa as well when you’re home.
